       POETRY COLLECTION

       AMPARO JARAMILLO-RESTREPO

This poetry collection is dedicated to my children and my grandchildren in this summer of the year 2002, when I finally gathered the courage and the time to finish the long and arduous task of tracing my steps, the footprints of which  were left  in disordered poems with different themes and styles.
Henceforth, this is the testimony of my long pilgrimage. The story of my hopes, frustrations, happy moments, wonderment, nostalgia for my homeland, my attempt to communicate not only with my children and grandchildren, but with other poetry lovers around the world, hoping that some of them may be able to read and enjoy my work.
Inevitably, these poems have been shaped by my teacher's soul, my life as an incognito artist, and  my condition as an immigrant, which has marked me indelibly for good or for bad.
