TIRESOME
(About nature)
By Amparo Jaramillo-Restrepo
Don't
you get scorched sun
of all your shining?
Don't
you get gloomy rain
of all your crying?
Don't
you get exhausted snow
of your star making?
Don't
you get fearful wind
of all your blowing?
Let's go to sleep tonight
And stop the crying
and the blowing.
Tomorrow
my child will harvest
pearls and stars
while the moon's gleaming.
