ONE GUN A MONTH

Please, help me here.
I want you to think carefully
about all the things
you use to buy per month.
A pack of pampers
for your new born?
Toilet paper and soap?
Yes, a big bag of rice.
Crayons and colorful paper
for rainbows and butterflies,
Tylenol and lipsticks. Right?
I wish I could go to the store
and buy dreams for a month!

But you don't have to buy
a pair of shoes every month,
unless you are Imelda Marcos,
or a bicycle every month,
or a pair of scissors every month,
or a tool box every month,
or a doll for Sarita every month...

Just a minute!
I'm missing something
in this per month list:

A GUN!

Yes, a gun!
Didn't you know
that even after the insane,
random shootings
in Atlanta, Los Angeles
and Columbine,
you can still buy a gun
every month?
Listen to this:
A gun every month.
A gun every month.
A gun every month
